Wanting more for New Zealand's parents

Please note - Parent.org's website is undergoing a long overdue restructure.  We hope to have it back on line and much more up to date some time in mid march

Parent.org is a lobby group - we engage with government on issues of parenting.  We are

• a-political.  We favour no party but are interested in promoting any policies that help parents succeed.  

• non-affiliated.  We hold no religious affilations, or represent any doctrine.  Nor do we have any financial support or connections with any other group.

• non-prescriptive.  We don't try to define a "good parent", because such a definition is as meaningless as trying to define a good sportsperson, politician or business person.  We are interested in creating an environment for parents that makes it easy for them to be the best they can, and raise the greatest kids.

Our goal is to create for parents what 20 years of government policy has done for business - turn an environment where all the resources and messages are failure focused into a success focused one.

We believe that in doing this one thing we will create a society that is prosperous, harmonious and filled with inspired, competent, creative citizens able to live together in mutual respect.
